HJ Swanepoel was trained by the Academy for Scientific and Investigative Training from the USA in 2020 by Nathan J Gordon and was runner-up in his class. Which is accredited by the American Polygraph Association. HJ joined PISA in 2020. Subsequently, he completed an internship at the International Assessment Centre (IAC) under the tutorship of Messrs Charles Kemp, Chris Karsten, and Ms. Joanette Karsten. He started working at the International Assessment Centre (IAC) in March 2020 and has administered approximately thousand two hundred (1200) polygraph examinations in South Africa. He has assisted in numerous investigations including but not limited to cases of burglary, fraud, theft, corruption, unethical conduct, slander, and more, as well as participating in screening security key points for criminal activities or breaches in security at a variety of mines, financial institutions, high-risk item distributors as well as close protection officers for high-value persons. He was also contracted to assist in the pre-employment screening of staff members in a variety of security-related fields. He is a member of the Southern African Polygraph Federation where he receives continuous training on a regular basis regarding the latest research and techniques in the field.
